4其時埃及人正在埋葬上主在他們中所擊殺的一切長子；上主也懲罰了他們的神祇。 4Who were burying their firstborn, whom the Lord had slain (upon their gods also he had executed vengeance,)
5以色列子民由辣默色斯起程，在穌苛特紮營。 5And they camped in Soccoth.
6由穌苛特起程，在位於曠野邊界的厄堂紮營。 6And from Soccoth they came into Etham, which is in the uttermost borders of the wilderness.
7由厄堂起程，轉向巴耳責豐的丕哈希洛特，在米革多耳對面紮營。 7Departing from thence they came over against Phihahiroth, which looketh towards Beelsephon, and they camped before Magdalum.
8由丕哈希洛特起程，由海中經過進入曠野，在厄堂曠野中行了三天的路，然後在瑪辣紮營。 8And departing from Phihahiroth, they passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness: and having marched three days through the desert of Etham, they camped in Mara.

14由阿路士起程，在勒非丁紮營；民眾在這裡沒有水喝。 14And departing from Alus, they pitched their tents in Raphidim, where the people wanted water to drink.
15由勒非丁起程，在西乃曠野紮營。 15And departing from Raphidim, they camped in the desert of Sinai.
16由西乃曠野起程，在克貝洛特塔瓦紮營。 16But departing also from the desert of Sinai, they came to the graves of lust.

27由塔哈特起程，在特辣黑紮營。 27Removing from Thahath they camped in Thare.
28由特辣黑起程，在米特卡紮營。 28And they departed from thence, and pitched their tents in Methca.
29由米特卡起程，在哈市摩納紮營。 29And removing from Methca, they camped in Hesmona.
30由哈市摩納起程，在摩色爾紮營。 30And departing from Hesmona, they came to Moseroth.
31由摩色爾起程，在貝乃雅干紮營。 31And removing from Moseroth, they camped in Benejaacan.
32由貝乃雅干起程，在曷爾哈基加得紮營。 32And departing from Benejaacan, they came to mount Gadgad.
33由曷爾哈基加得起程，在約特巴達紮營。 33From thence they went and camped in Jetebatha.
34由約特巴達起程，在阿貝洛納紮營。 34And from Jetebatha they came to Hebrona.
35由阿貝洛納起程，在厄茲雍革貝爾紮營。 35And departing from Hebrona, they camped in Asiongaber.
36由厄茲雍革貝爾起程，在親曠野，即卡德士紮營。 36They removed from thence and came into the desert of Sin, which is Cades.
37由卡德士起程，在位於厄東地邊界上的曷爾山下紮營。 37And departing from Cades, they camped in mount Her, in the uttermost borders of the land of Edom.
38亞郎大司祭依上主的命，上了曷爾山，死在那裡，時在以色列子民出埃及國後四十年五月初一日。 38And Aaron the priest went up into mount Hor at the commandment of the Lord: and there he died in the fortieth year of the coming forth of the children of Israel out of Egypt, the fifth month, the first day of the month,
39亞郎死在曷爾山上時，已一百二十三歲。 39When he was a hundred and twenty-three years old.
40其時住在客納罕南部的客納罕人王阿辣得，聽說以色列子民來了。 40And king Arad the Chanaanite, who dwelt towards the south, heard that the children of Israel were come to the land of Chanaan.
41他們再由曷爾山下起程，在匝耳摩納紮營。 41And they departed from mount Her, and camped in Salmona.
42由匝耳摩納起程，在普農紮營。 42From whence they removed and came to Phunon.
43由普農起程，在敖波特紮營。 43And departing from Phunon, they camped in Oboth.
44由敖波特起程，在位於摩阿布邊境的依因阿巴陵紮營。 44And from Oboth they came to Ijeabarim, which is in the borders of the Moabites.
45由依因阿巴陵起程，在狄朋加得紮營。 45And departing from Ijeabarim they pitched their tents in Dibongab.
46由狄朋加得起程，在阿耳孟狄貝拉塔因紮營。 46From thence they went and camped in Helmondeblathaim.
47由阿耳孟狄貝拉塔因起程，在乃波前面的阿巴陵山地內紮營。 47And departing from Helmondeblathaim, they came to the mountains of Abarim over against Nabo.
48由阿巴陵山地起程，在耶里哥對面，約但河邊，摩阿布曠野紮營； 48And departing from the mountains of Abarim, they passed to the plains of Moab, by the Jordan, over against Jericho.
49他們在摩阿布曠野裡，沿著約但河邊紮營，由貝特耶史摩特直到阿貝耳史廷。 49And there they camped from Bethsi moth even to Ablesatim in the plains of the Moabites,
50在耶里哥對面，約但河邊，摩阿布曠野內，上主訓示梅瑟說： 50Where the Lord said to Moses:
51「你告訴以色列子民說：你們幾時過了約但河，進入客納罕地， 51Command the children of Israel, and say to them: When you shall have passed over the Jordan, entering into the land of Chanaan,
52應由你們面前驅逐當地所有的居民，應毀壞他們的一切偶像，應打碎他們的一切鑄像，應剷除他們的一切丘壇。 52Destroy all the inhabitants of that land: beat down their pillars, and break in pieces their statues, and waste all their high places,
53你們要佔領那地方，住在那裡，因為我已將那地方給了你們，叫你們佔有。 53Cleansing the land, and dwelling in it. For I have given it you for a possession.
54你們要按支派抽籤分配那地方：人數多的多給，人數少的少給。誰的籤落在那裡，那裡就屬於他。你們依照宗祖支派分配你們的產業。 54And you shall divide it among you by lot. To the more you shall give a larger part, and to the fewer a lesser. To every one as the lot shall fall, so shall the inheritance be given. The possession shall be divided by the tribes and the families.
55但是，如果你們不把當地的居民由你們面前驅逐，那留下的居民，必要成為你們的眼中刺，腰間針，在你們住的地方內迫害你們； 55But if you will not kill the inhabitants of the land: they that remain, shall be unto you as nails in your eyes, and spears in your sides, and they shall be your adversaries in the land of your habitation.
56並且我打算了怎樣對待他們，也要怎樣對待你們。」 56And whatsoever I had thought to do to them, I will do to you.

本章综合记载以民由埃及至约但河畔，四十年之久，所经过的地点；除出发点和抵达点之外，共计四十处。大部分地名已见於出12:37-19:2和本书10:11-12:1，只有十叁个地名只见於此处。考古学家至今只确定了二十八个地名。
