1你應做焚香的壇，用皂莢木製造， 1Thou shalt make also an altar to burn incense, of setim wood.
2長一肘，寬一肘，方形，高二肘，四角從壇上突出。 2It shall be a cubit in length, and another in breadth, that is, foursquare, and two in height. Horns shall go out of the same.
3壇、壇的上面、四壁、周圍和四角，都包上純金；壇周圍做上金花邊。 3And thou shalt overlay it with the purest gold, as well as the grate thereof, as the walls round about and the horns. And thou shalt make to it a crown of gold round about,
4壇兩側花邊下，做兩個金環，兩面都做，為穿杠桿，抬香壇之用。 4And two golden rings under the crown on either side, that the bars may be put into them, and the altar be carried.
5用皂莢木做兩根杠桿包上金。 5And thou shalt make the bars also of setim wood, and shalt overlay them with gold.
6把香壇安置在約櫃前面掛的帳幔前，就是在我與你會晤的約櫃上的贖罪蓋之前。 6And thou shalt set the altar over against the veil, that hangeth before the ark of the testimony before the propitiatory wherewith the testimony is covered, where I will speak to thee.
7亞郎要在壇上焚燒香料；每天早晨整理燈盞時要焚香； 7And Aaron shall burn sweet smelling incense upon it in the morning. When he shall dress the lamps, he shall burn it:
8晚間亞郎換放燈盞時也要焚香：這是你們世世代代在上主前不斷的焚香禮。 8And when he shall place them in the evening, he shall burn an everlasting incense before the Lord throughout your generations.
9在這壇上不准焚別的香，也不准獻全燔祭和素祭或奠祭。 9You shall not offer upon it incense of another composition nor oblation, and victim, neither shall you offer libations.
10亞郎每年一次在這壇的四角上行贖罪禮，用贖罪祭贖罪犧牲的血，每年一次為這壇行贖罪禮。你們世世代代應行此禮，將壇祝聖於上主為至聖之物。」 10And Aaron shall pray upon the horns thereof once a year, with the blood of that which was offered for sin, and shall make atonement upon it in your generations. It shall be most holy to the Lord.
11上主訓示梅瑟說： 11And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
12「當你統計以色列子民人數的時候，凡被統計的人，每人應獻給上主贖命金，免得在統計的時候，災禍降在他們身上。 12When thou shalt take the sum of the children of Israel according to their number, every one of them shall give a price for their souls to the Lord, and there shall be no scourge among them, when they shall be reckoned.
13凡被統計過的，每人應按聖所的衡量繳納半『協刻耳』，──一『協刻耳』等於二十『革辣』，──這半『協刻耳』是給上主的獻儀。 13And this shall every one give that passeth at the naming, half a sicle according to the standard of the temple. A sicle hath twenty obols. Half a sicle shall be offered to the Lord.
14凡被統計過的，自二十歲以上起，要獻給上主獻儀： 14He that is counted in the number from twenty years and upwards, shall give the price.
15富的不多納，窮的也不少出，一概出半『協刻耳』，給上主作獻儀，作你們的贖命金。 15The rich man shall not add to half a sicle, and the poor man shall diminish nothing.
16你從以色列子民所取的贖命金，應拿來為會幕用。這為子民在上主前是一個記念，也贖回了你們的性命。」 16And the money received which was contributed by the children of Israel, thou shalt deliver unto the uses of the tabernacle of the testimony, that it may be a memorial of them before the Lord, and he may be merciful to their souls.
17上主訓示梅瑟說： 17And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
18「你應做一銅盆和銅盆座，為洗濯之用；把盆安在會幕和祭壇之間，盆中放上水， 18Thou shalt make also a brazen laver with its foot, to wash in: and thou shalt set it between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar. And water being put into it,
19好叫亞郎和他的兒子們在盆中洗手洗腳。 19Aaron and his sons shall wash their hands and feet in it:
20他們進會幕，或走近祭壇行禮，或向上主焚燒火祭時，要用水洗，免得死亡。 20When they are going into the tabernacle of the testimony, and when they are to come to the altar, to offer on it incense to the Lord,
21他們應洗手洗腳，免得死亡：這為他和他的子孫世世代代是永遠的規律。」 21Lest perhaps they die. It shall be an everlasting law to him, and to his seed by successions.
22上主訓示梅瑟說： 22And the Lord spoke to Moses,
23「你要拿上等的香料：純正沒藥五百『協刻耳』，香肉桂為沒藥的一半，即二百五十『協刻耳』，香菖蒲二百五十『協刻耳』， 23Saying: Take spices, of principal and chosen myrrh five hundred sicles, and of cinnamon half so much, that is, two hundred and fifty sicles, of calamus in like manner two hundred and fifty.
24桂皮按聖所的衡量五百『協刻耳』，橄欖油一『辛』， 24And of cassia five hundred sicles by the weight of the sanctuary, of oil of olives the measure hin:
25用這些材料配製傅禮用的聖油，像配製香膏的方法配製，作為傅禮用的聖油。 25And thou shalt make the holy oil of unction, an ointment compounded after the art of the perfumer,
26用此油傅會幕和約櫃， 26And therewith thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the testimony, and the ark of the testament,
27供桌和其上的一切器具，燈台和一切用具，香壇， 27And the table with the vessels thereof, the candlestick and furniture thereof, the altars of incense,
28全燔祭壇和壇上的一切用具、盆和盆座。 28And of holocaust, and all the furniture that belongeth to the service of them.
29你祝聖過的，都成了至聖之物，凡接觸這些物件的，也成為聖的。 29And thou shalt sanctify all, and they shall be most holy: he that shall touch them shall be sanctified.
30你也要給亞郎和他的兒子們傅油，祝聖他們作我的司祭。 30Thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and shalt sanctify them, that they may do the office of priesthood unto me.
31你要吩咐以色列子民說：你們應世世代代以此為傅禮用的聖油， 31And thou shalt say to the children of Israel: This oil of unction shall be holy unto me throughout your generations.
32不准將此油倒在俗人身上，也不准用這配製的方法配製這樣的油，因為是聖油，你們應以為聖物。 32The flesh of man shall not be anointed therewith, and you shall make none other of the same composition, because it is sanctified, and shall be holy unto you.
33無論誰若配製這樣的油，或用這油傅了凡人，應將他從百姓中剷除。」 33What man soever shall compound such, and shall give thereof to a stranger, he shall be cut off from his people.
34上主向梅瑟說：「你要取這些香料：就是蘇合香、香螺和白松香；這些香料與純乳香應有相等的分量， 34And the Lord said to Moses: Take unto thee spices, stacte, and onycha, galbanum of sweet savour, and the clearest frankincense, all shall be of equal weight.
35以香膏的配製法配成香，再加上鹽，使之成為純潔和聖的。 35And thou shalt make incense compounded by the work of the perfumer, well tempered together, and pure, and most worthy of sanctification.
36將一部分研成碎末，獻在會幕中的約櫃前，即我與你會晤的地方；這為你們是至聖之物。 36And when thou has beaten all into very small powder, thou shalt set of it before the tabernacle of the testimony, in the place where I will appear to thee. Most holy shall this incense be to you.
37你所配製的這種香，不准配製為自己用，應當作聖物，只為上主用。 37You shall not make such a composition for your own uses, because it is holy to the Lord.
38無論誰若配製這樣的香料，為聞香氣，應將他從百姓中剷除。」 38What man soever shall make the like, to enjoy the smell thereof, he shall perish out of his people.

「香坛」亦名「金坛」（39:28），又名「金香坛」（希9:4）。顾名思义，显然此坛专为焚香之用。

以色列人的统计，见户1。全体人民，不论贫富，一律应缴纳半「协刻耳」，表示在天主前，人人平等。
