Chapter 25
1 David and the leaders of the liturgical cult set apart for service the descendants of Asaph, Heman, and Jeduthun, as singers of inspired songs to the accompaniment of lyres and harps and cymbals.This is the list of those who performed this service:
达味与掌管礼仪的首长，也给阿撒夫、赫曼和耶杜通的子孙分派了任务，要他们以琴瑟、铙钹奏圣乐。任职的人数如下：
2 1 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah, sons of Asaph, under the direction of Asaph, who sang inspired songs under the guidance of the king.
阿撒夫的子孙：匝雇尔、约色夫、乃塔尼雅和阿沙勒拉，都是阿撒夫的子孙，归阿撒夫指挥；阿撒夫则照君王的指示奏圣乐。
3 Of Jeduthun, these sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah; six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who sang inspired songs to the accompaniment of a lyre, to give thanks and praise to the LORD.
属耶杜通的，有耶杜通的子孙革达里雅、责黎、耶沙雅、史米、哈沙彼雅、玛提提雅，一共六人，都归他们的父亲耶杜通指挥。耶杜通弹琴奏乐，称谢颂扬上主。
4 Of Heman, these sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shubael, and Jerimoth; Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, and Mahazioth.
属赫曼的，有赫曼的子孙步克雅、玛塔尼雅、乌齐耳、叔巴耳、耶黎摩特、哈纳尼雅、哈纳尼、厄里雅达、基达耳提、洛玛默提厄则尔约市贝卡沙、玛罗提、曷提尔和玛哈齐约特。
5 All these were the sons of Heman, the king's seer in divine matters; to enhance his prestige, God gave Heman fourteen sons and three daughters.
这些人都是那奉天主命，作君王“先见者”的赫曼的儿子，天主为使他有能力，赐给了他十四个儿子和三个女儿。
6 All these, whether of Asaph, Jeduthun, or Heman, were under their fathers' direction in the singing in the house of the LORD to the accompaniment of cymbals, harps and lyres, serving in the house of God, under the guidance of the king.
这些人皆归他们的父亲指挥，在上主的殿内，以铙钹、琴、瑟演奏圣乐。在天主的圣殿供职时，受君王指示的是阿撒夫、耶杜通和赫曼。
7 Their number, together with that of their brethren who were trained in singing to the LORD, all of them skilled men, was two hundred and eighty-eight.
这些人连同他们在歌咏上主的事上，受过特殊训练的弟兄，共计二百八十八人。
8 They cast lots for their functions equally, young and old, master and pupil alike.
这些人，不分大小，不分师生，一律以抽签分派职务。
9 The first lot fell to Asaph, the family of Joseph; he and his sons and his brethren were twelve. Gedaliah was the second; he and his brethren and his sons were twelve.
首先中签的是属阿撒夫的约色夫，他与他的兄弟及他的儿子共十二人；次为革达里雅，他与他的兄弟及他的儿子共十二人；
10 The third was Zaccur, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
三为匝雇尔，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
11 The fourth fell to Izri, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
四为依责黎，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
12 The fifth was Nethaniah, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
五为乃塔尼雅，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
13 The sixth was Bukkiah, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
六为步克雅，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
14 The seventh was Jesarelah, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
七为耶沙勒拉，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
15 The eighth was Jeshaiah, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
八为耶沙雅，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
16 The ninth was Mattaniah, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
九为玛塔尼雅，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
17 The tenth was Shimei, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
十为史米，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
18 The eleventh was Uzziel, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
十一为阿匝勒耳，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
19 The twelfth fell to Hashabiah, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
十二为哈沙彼雅，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
20 The thirteenth was Shubael, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
十三为叔巴耳，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
21 The fourteenth was Mattithiah, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
十四为玛提提雅，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
22 The fifteenth fell to Jeremoth, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
十五为耶黎摩特，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
23 The sixteenth fell to Hananiah, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
十六为哈纳尼雅，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
24 The seventeenth fell to Joshbekashah, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
十七为约市贝卡沙，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
25 The eighteenth fell to Hanani, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
十八为哈纳尼，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
26 The nineteenth fell to Mallothi, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
十九为玛罗提，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
27 The twentieth fell to Eliathah, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
二十为厄里雅达，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
28 The twenty-first fell to Hothir, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
二十一为曷提尔，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
29 The twenty-second fell to Giddalti, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.
二十二为基达耳提，他与他的儿子及他的兄弟共十二人；
30 The twenty-third fell to Mahazioth, his sons, and his brethren: twelve.

1 [2-31] This list of twenty-four classes of temple singers balances the list of the twenty-four classes of priests (1 Chron 24:4-19). The last nine names in 1 Chron 25:4 which seem to form a special group, appear to have been originally fragments or incipits of hymns. With some slight changes in the vocalization, the names would mean: "Have mercy on me, O LORD," "Have mercy on me," "You are my God," "I magnify," "I extol the help of . . . ," "Sitting in adversity," "I have fulfilled," "He made abundant," and "Visions."
